Checklists

Checklists in FLAARE are built from your own templates. A template has a type (pre-flight, post-flight, other) and consists of sections holding tick-off items and text fields.

Templates are managed by the operator: they can be edited, duplicated and archived. A filled-in checklist stores a snapshot of the template as it was at that moment - changing the template later does not change historical entries.

Filling in

Checklists are filled in from a phone in the field: you pick the template, the pilot (a pilot can only pick themselves), the drone and the date and time. When filling in from the flight view, the date is set to that flight’s takeoff time.

A checklist is pinned to one or many flights - for example one pre-flight checklist for a whole series of flights during an incident. When pinning, the system suggests checklists for the same drone from the last 24 hours.

The list of filled-in checklists

The Filled in tab shows 100 checklists per page, with filters by type, pilot and drone. Filters, tab and page number are stored in the page address, so the link can be copied and the browser’s Back button brings back the same view.

Note

The number of pinned checklists shows next to each flight on the flight list - it’s easy to spot flights without a confirmed checklist.
