Accounts and roles
FLAARE accounts are named accounts, created by the organisation’s operator in the Accounts section. There is no self-registration.
Creating a pilot account
The operator provides: an e-mail address (the login), a full name and a starting password - at least 12 characters with a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter and a digit. On first login the system forces the pilot to replace the starting password with their own.
The number of accounts is limited by the organisation’s licence.
First login and the terms of service
On the first visit to the application, right after the starting password is changed, a window appears with a link to the terms of service and a consent checkbox. Without acceptance it is not possible to go further. The consent is stored on the account, so the window does not come back on another device or after logging out - it reappears only when the terms change.
Roles
- Operator - manages the organisation: accounts, fleet, personnel, checklist templates, mission planning and organisation settings.
- Pilot - works with their own flights: uploads logs, fills in checklists, records emergencies.
- Superpilot - a pilot with operator permissions, with two exceptions: no account management and no editing of the operator’s data. Granted with a single toggle in the Accounts section; the number of Superpilot seats comes from the licence.
