Operations map
The operations map shows all of your organisation’s drones on one map in real time. Telemetry reaches the system from controllers running DJI Pilot 2.
On the map you’ll see:
- the Online/Offline status of every aircraft - a drone goes Offline after 15 seconds without telemetry,
- the drone marker: a triangle in the colour set on the drone card, pointing along the heading, with the height above the takeoff point below the icon, and an “H” marker at the home point,
- route trails from the last 24 hours - a trail can be cleared per drone or all at once,
- POIs and operational areas of the active incident - see “Incidents”,
- warnings about manned aircraft - see “AirSense (ADS-B)”.
Clicking the marker or the drone’s name in the list opens the drone card: battery, height above the takeoff point, speeds, heading and flight mode. The card is docked in a corner of the map and can be dragged by its header anywhere on the map; on a phone it opens as a bottom sheet. A drone that has no GPS fix yet can still be clicked in the list.
Alerts
When a drone enters an emergency mode, the marker and the row in the list pulse:
- yellow - return to home (RTH) or automatic landing,
- red - forced landing or a critical cause: battery, loss of controller signal, failure.
The label in the list gives the mode and the cause, e.g. “RTH · RC signal lost”. The alert clears once the drone returns to normal flight; an offline drone does not pulse. Alerts are silent - only the AirSense warning has a sound.
Initial view and the drone list
On opening, the map centres on the device’s position (after consent to geolocation in the browser), and without it frames all connected drones. After that the map never jumps on its own - the “My position” and “Show all drones” buttons are there for that.
Rows in the drone list are collapsed by default: name, battery percentage, height and the alert label. The whole left panel collapses to a narrow column with counters so the map gains width. A drone silent for more than 12 hours disappears from the list and returns with its next telemetry.
Map layers
Three base maps to choose from: OpenStreetMap (default) and the Geoportal orthophoto (in two variants).
On top of that, overlays from the Polish Forest Data Bank (the BDL section in the layer switcher): fire access roads, water intake points (from zoom 11) and forest compartments (from zoom 12). The overlays are switched on independently, draw above the base map and below the drones. The selection is remembered in the browser and shared by the operations map, the KOL map and the mission planner. The overlays are view-only - clicking an object shows no data.
Drawing and sending to controllers
You first pick a drawing tool from the panel (pinpoint, area, circle, rectangle) - without a tool selected, clicking the map places nothing. After drawing one element the tool switches itself off.
Areas and points can be sent directly to the controllers of pilots in the field - no reading coordinates over the radio. Details on the “Areas and POIs” page.
