What FLAARE is and what it is not

A drone management system for a whole organisation, not an app for the pilot. Runs in a browser, nothing to install. What it does, what it does not do and who it is for.

FLAARE team Team 26 September 2026

FLAARE is a system for managing drones in an organisation. A rescue unit, a municipality or a company has all its drones, flights, pilots and records in one place.

It is not another app for the pilot. The pilot keeps flying as before, on their own controller. FLAARE is for the people who need to see more than one drone and keep track of more than one flight.

What it does

Live drone map. All the organisation’s drones on one map: position, altitude, battery, flight track. The system warns when a drone is returning home, landing in an emergency, losing the link to the controller or running low on battery.

Flight logbook built from logs. Entries are created from drone logs imported from the controller. Export in a format that meets the requirements of the Polish Civil Aviation Authority (ULC).

Mission planning. Routes and areas prepared in FLAARE go straight to the pilots’ controllers, with no cables and no copying of files.

Registers. Drones, batteries, pilots, certificates, insurance, inspections. The system reminds about deadlines before they pass.

Coordinating several units. In the version for services, the KOL module (Air Operations Coordinator) lets one person see the drones of different units at a single operation and assign areas to them.

Nothing to install

FLAARE runs in a browser. On the computer at the station, on a tablet, on a phone and on the drone controller. There is nothing to install and no server of your own to maintain.

Data is stored on servers in the European Union, mainly in Poland. Each organisation sees only its own drones and its own flights. The exception is the KOL during a joint operation, and only to the extent the organisation agrees to.

At the time of writing, the system works with DJI drones from the enterprise and public safety lines. Support for selected Autel drones is in progress.

What it is not

  • It does not control the drone. The pilot controls the drone, as before.
  • It is not an air traffic management system. It does not replace permissions or flight notifications. Information about nearby aircraft is a warning, not a radar.
  • Areas on the controller are not no-fly zones. They show the pilot where to search. They do not restrict the drone.

Who it is for

FLAARE SAR is the version for services: volunteer and state fire brigades, local governments and rescue units. It includes the KOL module and tools for planning searches.

FLAARE Enterprise is the version for companies, currently in development. It does not include the rescue modules.

Contact

The version for services is distributed by uStrażaka.pl. That is where to ask about a rollout and arrange a demo for a unit or a municipality.

Sales of the Enterprise version are handled directly. Get in touch: kontakt@flaare.pl.
